Don’t Ruin my Lunch

A few days ago I purchased a falafel sandwich from a new spot that I found on the street. I’m a vegetarian so I like that kind of stuff. Well, after taking a few bites of this new falafel, I noticed a few shreds of chicken poking out of the side. I got up and […]

Thinking BIG in the Big Apple

So I just moved back into the city a few days ago. As some of you know, I recently graduated from college – Pace University — a semester early; since then I’ve been back home with the moms and pops on Long Island (Strong Island). But of course I had to get back into the […]

MBA for Me? Nah

Do you have an MBA from a business school? If you do, then congratulations! I don’t have an MBA from a business school; heck, I don’t have one at all. Actually, I have a degree in English and Literature from a Tier II university in New York City.
What’s my point? Well, some of you […]

Position your company’s success on something other than $

All entrepreneurs know what a successful business looks like: Positive Cash Flow. Or, for most of us youngsters, not having to work for someone else.

In the past when I started turning the gears on a new business idea I thought merely of how I could get it into positive cash flow, and how richly I could live. I found myself becoming demotivated pretty quickly, even though I knew the business had a chance and it would be a valuable service to its users and clients. I started questioning my lack of motivation, going as so far into questioning my abilities to ever really make it as an entrepreneur.

So when I started the business I am gearing up now, I did a little soul searching. Actually, I think it was more like my soul found me (that sounds a lot cheesier then soul searching for some reason) when I got an unsuspected gift. A little back-story first.

Hmmm… TV or Work?

For an entrepreneur no day is the same and our energy levels can vary from hour to hour depending on what we’re doing. It’s definitely hard to work and be productive non-stop throughout the entire day. Heck, if you can do that, then you’re a machine.
Each day when I wakeup I write down […]

What’s your “WHY” for starting a business?

I think that it’s fair to say that students who aspire to be successful entrepreneurs fall into three basic categories of “why” they want to start a business. One student may start a business to become super rich one day and buy the big house and the fancy cars and smoke fine cigars, another student […]

Take the Best from EACH, not ONE.

Ok, so for the last few weeks I’ve been hanging around the richdad.com business forums. They’re pretty neat and full of information from all types of people. I’ve met a handful of fellow entrepreneurs on the site. Robert Kiyosaki (you know, the guy who had a rich dad and a poor dad) is the owner […]

Entrepreneurs play CHESS

I started playing chess when I was in 11th grade in high school. I immediately became fascinated with the game (the art) after watching my younger brothers banging away at the pieces on the board. I asked them to teach me this ancient game and within weeks I must’ve read a good 10 books on […]

I’m Ahead of Time

I was in a train with a friend of mine yesterday afternoon and he asked me “if I didn’t feel that I was wasting my time with my company.” I responded with, “no not at all, in fact I feel that I am ahead of time.”
Everywhere I go students are asking me “what am I […]
